Annual Clean Up Drop Off Program Registration Opens 3-1-22

The Annual Clean-Up Program takes place at the Auten Road Site which is located at 280 Auten Road, opposite the Auten Road School, next to the Railroad Tracks.  The free program is offered to residents to allow them to dispose of unwanted items. Residents wishing to participate in any of the Department of Public Works programs must first sign up for the Public Works Membership Program. Seniors may participate in either the Bulk Drop off Program OR Senior Curbside program, not both.

Registrations for 2022 Annual Clean Up Drop Off Program will begin March 1, 2022. Please sign up through Community Pass to register for 2022 dates.

Bulk/Brush Drop Off
residents are entitled to one (1) Bulk/Brush Drop Off registration per year, per household.  This program allows residents to dispose of items such as: old furniture, toys, rugs, appliances, bicycles, hot water tanks, old furnaces, etc., as well as yard clean-up brush. 

Brush ONLY residents are entitled to two (2) Brush ONLY registrations per year, per household. This program allows residents the opportunity to dispose of yard clean-up brush.  

Residents ultimately have three (3) opportunities afforded to them during the year to drop off brush when taking advantage of both programs.


COVID-19 Operating Procedure update: We will not be scanning or distributing new Membership Cards during this time.  You must pre-register on Community Pass (only online registrations are being accepted at this time) and bring a printed copy of your receipt or your driver's license, along with a 8x11 piece of paper with your first initial and last name written in approx 3” large letters (or large enough to be seen 10 feet away from your vehicle).  You will show this paper at the gate upon arrival.   The attendant will find your name on their roster and mark you down as a gate check.  You will need to show this paper every time you enter the facility.  


This program has a limited registration. Due to COVID-19 the following safety practices are Mandatory. Those who do not adhere to these practices will be turned away at the gate upon entry.

  1. You MUST wear a mask and gloves at all times while at our facility.
  2. You MUST adhere to social distancing.
  3. You MUST NOT exit your vehicle until you are informed to do so.
  4. Please READ and FOLLOW the signs that are posted at the facility for Bulk and Brush Drop off.
  5. Each time you arrive at the gate to check in, you MUST show the attendant the registrant's last name and first initial on a 8x11 piece of paper. Please have an ID ready to show if you are asked.
  6. You MUST register online on Community Pass.
  7. You MUST agree to and follow all of our normal program rules and conditions (listed below).
  8. Anyone who does not adhere to the program rules and safety measures will be turned away.

IMPORTANT!! If you are unable to keep your registered date you are required to contact the Public Works Office no later than 3pm on the Friday before the event to cancel your registration.  Failure to do so will forfeit your registration to this program for the year and not allow you to enroll in a different date.  To reach us either email This email address is being protected from spambots. Membership Cards are NOT being issued at this time. You MUST bring a 8x11 piece of paper with your First Initial and Last Name written on it to show at the gate upon arrival. The gate attendant will have a list of registered members for each date to verify your registration. Please have a copy of your receipt or your driver's license handy if you are asked for it.  Once we resume normal operations we will begin distributing membership cards again. If you lost your card from last year there is a $5 replacement fee. If you never had a card you will receive it on your next scheduled date after normal operations resume.

April 2nd and 30th

May 7th and 21st
June 4th and 25th
July 9th and 30th
August 6th and 27th
September 10th and 24th
October 1st and 29th



  • Hillsborough Township Residents Only 
  • Registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis and you are encouraged to register early
  • If you need to reschedule your date you must contact the office to refund your registration in order to register for another date. Failure to do so before the date of the event will forfeit your registration
  • Each resident participating in the program must check-in at the gate upon entry
  • Registration may not be transferred to another person or household
  • The drop off site is open rain or shine
  • Small trailers can be used (2000 lbs. G.V.W. Maximum)
  • No vehicles over 6,700 lbs. G.V.W.
  • No hazardous/toxic materials (pesticides/chemicals/herbicides/ creosote)
  • No recyclables (cardboard/plastic)
  • No motor oil
  • No batteries/tires/vehicle parts
  • No propane tanks
  • No concrete/blacktop/bricks/pavers
  • No lumber over 6 feet long and no renovation materials
  • No tree stumps or logs over 8 inches in diameter
  • No electronics will be accepted (faxes, TVs/computers/monitors, etc.)
  • No paint
  • Freon must be removed from all appliances
