Sustainability Department Updates

The Sustainable office thanks each artist for the creative designs submitted for the Sustainable Hillsborough logo contest. The contest is now closed and the winner will be announced at the next Township Committee meeting.

The office is also gearing up for the first submission of 2024 for the Sustainable Jersey program. 2024 is the 13th year the Township is participating, the longest for any municipality in Somerset County. Last year, Hillsborough received the 9th straight Silver certification, the highest level awarded by the Sustainable Jersey program, and had a record-breaking 730 points. Hillsborough currently holds the third-highest amount of points out of over 450 participating municipalities, and second highest in our population group.
