Mayor Shawn Lipani to Host Annual Mayors Wellness Walk and Talk Sunday, October 22nd, at the Sourland Mountain Preserve

Mayors Walk and Talk

“I am excited to announce one of my favorite events - the annual  Mayor’s Wellness Walk and Talk!”  announced Mayor Shawn Lipani at the September 26th Township Committee meeting.

This annual event, which will take place at the Sourland Mountain Preserve on Sunday, October 22nd, is an opportunity for Hillsborough residents to learn more about the Mayor’s job and to ask any questions they have about Township-related issues while enjoying fall foliage in a peaceful, forest setting.

Registration information is available on the Township website, the Mayor’s e-newsletter, and Hillsborough’s social media channels. The First 100 registrants will receive a T-shirt.

“We look forward to having the Mayor’s Walk and Talk in a new setting this year,” added Mayor Lipani. “The vivid fall foliage should be on display in the Sourlands, making it the perfect backdrop for this event.”

The Mayors Wellness Campaign is celebrating its 16th anniversary, and Hillsborough Township has been participating since 2008.

The annual Mayor’s Walk and Talk will take place at 10:00 a.m. on October 22nd. For the day of the event, walkers are asked to check in at 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot at the trail entrance. Featured as part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, the walk will take approximately one hour and end at the same location.
