Duke Farms Unveils NJ's First Electric Vehicle Fast Charging Station
Hillsborough Administrator Anthony Ferrera and Sustainability Director Zuzana Karas attended the unveiling of its first Corridor-Class charging station in Somerset County at Duke Farms earlier this week. This EV charging facility will be powered 100% by an on-site solar array, demonstrating the synergy between increased renewable energy use and vehicle electrification. The number of EVs on New Jersey roads will triple over the next three years, and increase by a factor of 20 in just over a decade. Duke Farms will electrify its own fleet and also support the broad adoption of EVs by the general public through this high-power charging facility. Margaret Waldock, the Executive Director, at Duke Farms, thanked Hillsborough Township for its endless support throughout the years.
