Hillsborough Township’s 2023 Green Living and Wellness Fair Returns Saturday, June 3rd

In Partnership with the YMCA Annual Hillsborough YMCA HOP 5K

“The Annual Green Living and Wellness Fair will be held on Saturday, June 3rd, in conjunction with the Hillsborough YMCA HOP 5K”, announced Mayor Shawn Lipani. The Fair, which will be held rain or shine, is from 8 - 11 a.m. at the Peter J. Biondi Municipal Building.

Participating local businesses will have informative presentations, displays and demonstrations to raise awareness of the many facets of living a healthy lifestyle, including making sound nutritional choices, making long-term life planning decisions, choosing a green lifestyle as well as many health screenings.

The annual Hillsborough Hop 5K Walk and Run is also back after a hiatus. Start time is at 8 am on June 3rd at the YMCA, with the race culminating at the Municipal Building where the Green Living and Wellness Fair will already be in full swing. 

Those organizations wishing to participate in the Fair must register in advance by calling the Health Department at 908-369-5652.

About the Green Living and Wellness Fair:

The Annual Green Living and Wellness Fair began as a health fair offered by the Township.  As times have changed so has the complexion of this initiative.  The fair now comprises a holistic approach to wellness, not just health-related but wellness for the environment.  The evolution of the fair has allowed for an expanded approach widening the resources and available programs to participate.

As one of Somerset County’s premier road races, Hillsborough YMCA Hop 5K brings families and the community together in a fun race that encourages everyone to strive for and reach a personal fitness goal. Hillsborough YMCA is pleased to sponsor the event which has continued to grow over the years and has become a fun, spring fitness tradition in the Hillsborough community. The event raises funds that help Hillsborough YMCA fulfill its mission to keep programs and services available to all, regardless of income.
