Mayors Wellness

The Hillsborough Mayors Wellness Campaign is committed to improving the health and wellness of our community; to identify local health and wellness needs, promote active living in support of those needs, increase awareness and strategies to prevent chronic illness and decrease health disparities that may exist. The ultimate goal is to mitigate the cost to our society and increase the quality of life in Hillsborough for a healthy Hillsborough.

Hillsborough Township first joined the Mayors Wellness Campaign in 2006, pledging to increase awareness about healthy living. In 2023, Hillsborough Township remains

steadfast in that resolve with even more programs and initiatives encouraging and focusing on healthy alternatives for both employees and residents.

Hillsborough Township is honored and excited to be recognized by the Quality Institute as a 2022 Healthy Town, the Gold Level Designation. The Mayors Wellness Committee's mission is to improve the health and wellness of the community, and it is through innovative programs and outreach that we continue to engage our residents. 

We are learning anew what it means to be healthy, to be aware of and care for each other, how the health of our neighbors is paramount to living in a healthy community, and to look for ways to positively impact the quality of life for those who live, work and play in our town.
