2022 General Election Information

The 2022 General Election will be held on November 8th at polling locations throughout Somerset County. On the ballot are local offices, County Commissioner positions, and the 7th and 12th Congressional districts. 

The last day to register to vote in the General Election is October 18th. In addition to registering online, the Somerset County Board of Elections at 20 Grove Street in Somerville will be open until 9 p.m. on October 18th to register voters.

The Somerset County Clerk’s Office will mail sample ballots to all registered voters on October 26th and in-person early voting begins on October 29th and lasts through November 6th. Early voting will take place here at the Municipal Building between the hours of 10:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sunday through this period. Eligible voters who have not requested a mail-in ballot may participate in early voting.

If you are voting by mail, the last day to apply for a mail-in ballot by mail is November 1st and the last day to apply in person for a mail-in ballot is November 7th, at the Somerset County Clerk’s Office in Somerville. 

As I mentioned, November 8th is election day. If you are unsure of where to vote in person on that day, please see the election information on the Hillsborough Township website, which includes a voting district poll locator.
