The Hillsborough Parks & Recreation has no shortage of Halloween-themed events this year!

The 8th Annual Children’s Halloween Party will be held at Norz Hill Farms on Thursday, October 27th, from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. For a cost of $12.00 per child, participants can take a walk through the children's bale maze, ride on a hayride to the pumpkin patch, and enjoy other fun activities!  Pre-registration is required on the Parks & Recreation website. 

The popular “Howl-O-Ween” dog parade and costume contest will take place at Ann Van Middlesworth Park on Saturday, October 29th at 8:30 am. Families and pets will gather in the dog park while Hillsborough Girl Scouts rank costumes and select prize winners for best group and individual costumes among others!  All prizes are donated by local businesses and no pre-registration is required!

Trunk or Treat at the Willow Road Complex is back!  The Trunk or Treat will take place on Saturday, October 29th, from 1:30-2:30 PM. Families can provide a decorated "Trunk/Vehicle" along with candy to hand out to the Trunk or Treaters.  Pre-Registration is required and there is no cost to participate. Participants will vote on the best-decorated trunk, so creativity is a must!

Also returning is the “Go Green for Halloween” costume exchange.  Residents can drop off gently used Halloween costumes from October 3rd through 6th, from 8 am to 4:30 pm at the Recreation office. They can then come back on Friday, October 7th between 8 am and 4:30 p,m or Saturday, October 8th between 9 am and 11 am to pick out “new to you” costumes.
