Health Department Update: Dead Trees, Radon Tests Kits and Covid Vaccines

The Hillsborough Health Department would like to remind residents about a township ordinance that requires homeowners to have any dead tree(s) on their property taken down when these trees are in danger of falling onto roads, sidewalks, power lines, or neighboring properties.  Like most areas in the northeast, Hillsborough is being significantly affected by several tree-killing diseases and insects, such as the Emerald Ash Borer.  Standing dead trees represent a significant danger to people who are walking or driving, as well as to buildings and power lines. Feel free to contact the Health Department with any questions.

The Health Department still has free radon test kits available. Please stop by if you are interested in obtaining a test kit.

Covid vaccines have been approved for children ages 5 and up.  Please see the Mayor’s newsletter or the Township website for locations for vaccinations and other Covid-related information.
