Reusable Shopping Bag Design Winner Announced

In March, Hillsborough hosted a reusable shopping bag design contest. There were 25 submissions and over 400 residents voted for their favorite design. At the April 12th Township Committee meeting, Mayor Shawn Lipani announced the winning design, created by Samantha Ball. Sam’s design will now be on the official Hillsborough Township reusable shopping bag which will be available for purchase at the Municipal Building and other township events. Bags will be on sale in time for May 4th, when a ban on single-use plastic bags will be in effect in New Jersey. Any profits from sales will go towards funding recycle bins for our local parks. Congratulations Sam well done to all who submitted their designs!
