Repairs to the Rock Brook Bridge near the Longhill / Wertsville Roads is on hold because during Hurricane IDA there was substantial damage to the bridge that was under construction. The damage requires a major change in the scope of work on the bridge and DEP requires updated permits. The county is redoing the plans and submitting to DEP for re-approval. The County anticipates the plans will be completed and re-approved in the next month or so. There is a lot of concrete and stone work at this bridge so they do not see construction starting up until the spring due to cold weather.
