Project Medicine Drop promotes the safe and proper disposal of unused/unwanted prescription drugs. To aid with this program, a permanent drug drop off box is installed in the lobby of the Hillsborough Township Police Department. In fact, Hillsborough Township was the first municipality in the State of New Jersey to install a permanent disposal receptacle for unused and unwanted drugs. The Project Medicine drop box is accessible to residents from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. If doors are locked, please ring the buzzer. Please do not dispose of syringes or liquids in the drop box. Project Medicine Drop can only take pills and patches.
