DPW Announces Successful Arbor Day Tree Distribution Event

Hillsborough's Arbor Day tree program this past Saturday provided free bare-root Blue Spruce trees to residents and students that had signed up for the program through the Department of Public Works. Our Arborist, Mike Conover, was on hand to answer any questions.

The trees were purchased from the Arbor Day Foundation utilizing the township's Tree Mitigation Funds.  This yearly event continues our commitment to helping replenish Hillsborough's tree canopy.  In recent years, emerald ash borer disease has infiltrated the area which has nearly killed all of our ash trees.   Roughly 1000 trees were handed out to be planted.
