Financial Literacy Presentation Recap
The Hillsborough Township Social Services Department partnered with Magnate Cares recently to present a free community financial literacy workshop, and I had the pleasure of attending along with many other Hillsborough residents.
The one-hour workshop covered banks, lending, borrowing, and budgeting as well as cash management, credit reports, FICO scores, and financial records management. Robert Kenific, CPA, CFE was the presenter.
The workshop was organized with the MagnateCARES initiative (Community, Action, Resources, Environment, and Sustainability), part of Magnate Worldwide, a diversified supply chain management company.
MagnateCARES performs community outreach and education to improve people’s lives as part of their commitment to social responsibility. Financial intelligence can help the community to live independently, which aligns with part of the Hillsborough Township Social Services Department’s mission to promote independent, fulfilling lives among senior residents.
