Hillsborough Students and Employees Donate Cans to the C.A.N

Auten Road Intermediate School fifth grade teams, representing the Chiefs, and the Eagles participated in the Eighth Annual Soup-er Bowl collection, a long-standing tradition.

Both teams of students engaged in a healthy mix of charity and friendly competition, challenging each other to collect the most cans of food to donate to the Hillsborough Community Assistance Network (C.A.N.) During the two-week contest, students and families came through in an amazing fashion, gathering an astounding 1,795 cans of soup for charity!

The students and their families from Woods Road Elementary School had a similar event with another large donation for the Hillsborough CAN. 

The Hillsborough Employee Activities Recognition Team (H.E.A.R.T) also hosted a similar competition, where employees picked which team they thought would win by placing cans of soup into one of two shopping carts labeled Eagles of Chiefs. The employees had the Eagles winning 49-46.
