Virtual Narcan Training

Our country is in the midst of an opioid overdose epidemic. Opioid overdose is the leading cause of accidental death in the United States.  In the United States, we lost almost 70,000 lives to an overdose in 2020.  This is the highest number on record.  In 2022 New Jersey lost close to 3,000 people to drug-related overdoses.  Nearly ½ of all opioid overdose deaths involved a prescription medication.  Most overdose emergencies happen at home in front of a loved one, so being prepared for an accidental opioid overdose can be the difference between life and death.  Be prepared by getting trained to administer Narcan.  The training is simple, informative, and empowering.  Be The 1 Before 911 - 

The Hillsborough Municipal Alliance has recently hosted 2 Narcan trainings - one was hosted virtually (1/19/23) and one was hosted here at the Municipal Building.  All attendees were provided information, resources, training, and a Narcan kit for future use.
