Mayor McCauley Visits Camp DeWitt

Earlier this summer, the Girl Scouts of Heart of New Jersey hosted a site visit at the newly renovated Camp DeWitt in Hillsborough.  The intention was to have a session with the Scouts to promote civic engagement and connections with mentors in government, which is central to the Girl Scouts’ all-girl, girl-led experience empowering young women to take the lead. However, as a result of heavy rains in the days preceding the site visit, plans changed.  Guests were greeted by members of the Girl Scouts staff. Mike Forrestall, Director of Business Performance, GSHNJ provided an overview of the facility. Natasha Hemmings, Chief Executive Officer, GSHNJ presented the key Girl Scout Initiatives including their STEM programs.
