SwiftReach 911 Official Emergency Notification System
Effective March 1, 2017 Nixle Will No Longer Be Utilized
Committeeman Frank DelCore, Liaison to Public Safety reminded residents SwiftReach 911 is the official emergency notification system for the Township. “Late last year, the Township entered into an agreement with SwiftReach 911 to provide emergency messaging notifications for the Township,” stated Committeeman Frank DelCore. “A review committee met with the three respondents to the request for quotes and it was determined the SwiftReach 911 met the requirements that the Township was looking for,” continued Committeeman DelCore. The previous contract with Honeywell expired at the end of 2016 and Nixle, which historically was a free service for police notifications, had informed the Township that they would be migrating to a paid service.
‘REGISTER READY’ HELPS RESIDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Are you a New Jersey resident with special needs? Do you have a family member or neighbor who may need special assistance during a disaster Register Ready gives residents with disabilities or access and functional needs and their families, friends, caregivers, and associates an opportunity to provide information to fire, first aid and law enforcement agencies, so emergency responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency. The information collected is confidential and will not be available to the public; it will be held securely and used only for emergency response and planning.
