“The Hillsborough Township Building Department will host a Contractor’s Open House on Thursday, September 26th,” reported Mayor Frank DelCore at Tuesday’s Township Committee Meeting.
“We are always striving to enhance the relationship between our contractors and the Township, and the next phase is this informational session held by our construction and subcode officials to assist applicants with an understanding of Code Enforcement,” continued Mayor DelCore.
The topics to be discussed in this open forum will include an overview of Code Enforcement, changes in the code that impact the construction industry and instruction on completing a permit application. In this informational session contractors, architects and other professionals will be provided with step by step instructions and guidance in completing the required documentation for construction projects. This will ultimately assist permit applicants with the necessary resources to navigate the system in a more effective and efficient manner, decreasing the permit approval timeframe.
This contactor open house is another step in balancing the needs of contractors with respect to regulations of the building department.
Contractors wishing to participate have the choice of two sessions to choose from:
Session one: 3:30 pm until 5 pm
Session two: 5 pm until 6:30 pm
