Hillsborough Police Officers Recognized for Life Saving Efforts

At the March 26th Township Committee Meeting, the Mayor and Township Committee extended their sincere congratulations and appreciation to Hillsborough Township Police Officers for saving the lives of several individuals and for being shining members of our community.

Hillsborough Police Officers Joseph Bastardo, Patrick Farrell, Brian Gorka, Craig Heindrichs and Christopher Engelhardt have all been awarded the Department CPR Lifesaving Award by Hillsborough Township Police Chief Darren Powell for being instrumental in reviving victims.

Each of the officers, on different occasions, responded to a call of a person in need of medical assistance. The officers commenced CPR and lifesaving measures often including attaching a defibrillator.

The valiant actions of Officers Joseph Bastardo, Patrick Farrell, Brian Gorka, Craig Heindrichs and Christopher Engelhardt serve as an example of the highest standards of the Hillsborough Township Police Department through their heroism and willingness to help others.
