Ian Golden, a Sophomore at Hillsborough High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 1776, has recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Ian’s Eagle Scout project consisted of remodeling a multi-purpose room at the local Oak Spring Girl Scout Camp and coordinating more than 15 volunteers to clean, paint and install flooring, wainscoting, chair railing, shelves and baseboards.

Ian has served in many leadership roles as a scout and has achieved four NOVA world wide scouting awards in science, technology, engineering and math.

Ian has volunteered over 100 hours of service to various organizations. He is a member of the Hillsborough High School RoboRaiders and served on their leadership team.

Ian serves as an example to the youth of Hillsborough Township through his high level of leadership and community service, and we are very proud that he is a member of our community.

The Hillsborough Township Committee extends our sincere congratulations to Ian Golden for having achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an honor for both him and for those who guided him, with best wishes for a bright future.
