The 2018-2019 Hillsborough High School Science Olympiad team had a very successful year due to their hard work and dedication. The Science Olympiad is a STEM-based competition focusing on build events and study events held across the country. The team placed fourth at the Harvard Invitational Competition, tenth at both the Cornell University and Princeton University Science Olympiad Invitationals, third at the Regional Competition at NJIT and seventh overall at the New Jersey State Competition at Middlesex County College.
The 2018-2019 Hillsborough High School Science Olympiad consisted of the following students: Anurang Arasan, Riddhishree Badhan, Shibi Balamurugan, Sindhu Balamurugan, Nipun Banerjee, Siddharth Bharani-Dharan, Curtis Chen, Vedant Chintawar, Rajas Chordiya, Ritik Gupta, Jared Handelman, Michael Huang, Akash Iyer, Alan Ji, Christopher Ji, Jeff Jiang, Pradyun Kamaraju, Varun Kandula, Medha Kasina, Nandita Kathiresan, Abhishree Kaushik, Tejas Khare, Aravind Krishnan, Rishikesh Nayar, Yash Parikh, Shridhar Parthasarathy, Rishab Patel, Om Shah, Shrish Shenoy, Rohan Singh, Samir Tripathy, Nihar Trivedi, Aarnav Vyas, Amy Wang, Jon Ye and Grace Zhang.
The Hillsborough Township Committee commends the Hillsborough High School Science Olympiad team, not only for their successful season, the best in recent years, but for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to the field of science and to those principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork and academic achievement which the Science Olympiad endorses.
