Hillsborough Dukes Junior Varsity Football Team Honored For Winning Season

At the March 13th Township Committee Meeting, the Mayor and Township Committee recognized the Hillsborough Dukes Junior Varsity Football Team for their successful season due to hard work, dedication, commitment to the sport and to those principles of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and academic achievement.

The Dukes Junior Varsity Team was the Pop Warner Jersey Valley Conference Champions with a 33-6 win against the Port Reading Golden Saints. They earned two wins in the Pop Warner Eastern Region Division 3 playoffs and advanced to the finals of the Pop Warner Eastern Region Playoffs.

The 2018 Hillsborough Dukes Junior Varsity Football Team consisted of the following young athletes: Brandon Amoafo, Joseph Biviano, Nathan Downey, Jimmy Conover, Devin Gonzalez, Zion Harrison, Antione Hinton, Kyle Kolans, Justin LeBron, Billy Meszaros, Donovan Miller, Jack Moran, Jack O’Donnell, Anthony Panatieri, Brady Post, Logan Press, Jackson Roberts, Michael Schmelzer, Luke Scott, Noah Simplice, Chris Spinelli, and Doug Toth.
