Hillsborough voters gave the Township Committee form of government a vote of confidence in Tuesday’s balloting by defeating a change of government ballot question by nearly 20%, with 4628 votes No and 3208 votes Yes.
Hillsborough voters, following the statewide trend, turned down the first two state ballot questions while narrowly defeated the Green Acres question that was approved statewide.
Local voters joined state voters in approving question 4 which modernizes language regarding certain persons' right to vote.
