Boy Scout Troop 1776 Prepares for Citizenship Badge

On January 11th, former New Jersey Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli, Deputy Mayor Doug Tomson and Merit Badge cCounselor Thomas Zobele, were invited to speak to boy scouts in Troop 1776 as they work toward earning their Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge.  The three speakers talked about how the scouts can become good citizens in their community touched on their experiences in government and discussed legislative processes in local government. The scouts of Troop 1776,  potential future of representatives Hillsborough,  eagerly listened and asked many questions.

Boy Scout Troop 1776 was first chartered in 1967 and has 144 Eagle Scouts to date, including Thomas Zobele who earned his Eagle Scout Award in 2011.  The troop is constantly involved in the Hillsborough community.
